Nearly all the members of the human family eat more than the system requires. This excess decays and becomes a putrid mass. Catarrhal difficulties, kidney disease, headache, and heart troubles, are the result. . . If more food, even of a simple quality, is placed in the stomach than the living machinery requires, this surplus becomes a burden. The system makes desperate efforts to dispose of it, and this extra work causes a tired, weary feeling. Some who are continually eating call this "all-gone" feeling hunger, but it is caused by the overworked condition of the digestive organs. Counsels on Diet and Foods, E. G. White, p. 132, 1896.
Detox Herbal Tea
Detox Herbal Tea is a delicious and satisfying herbal beverage, yet has numerous health benefits. While it is a powerful detoxifying decoction, it is actually a remarkable all-purpose herbal tonic. D-tox Herbal Tea is a powerful stimulant to the entire digestive process, especially the stomach, liver and digestive side of the pancreas. It cleanses the skin and detoxifies the blood, liver and gallbladder. It stimulates the liver to produce more bile and then flushes away the bile and fats that congest your liver and gallbladder. D-tox Herbal Tea is also an immune system tonic and a mild diuretic, and disinfectant to the kidneys and bladder, causing you to urinate more within an hour of ingestion. D-Tox Herbal Tea is most effective when used with HepaTone Liver/Gallbladder Support Formula. It is also used in conjunction with our Total Body Cleanse and Detoxification Program.
Detox Herbal Tea is also an excellent coffee replacement. It is a hot beverage, dark in color, and tastes great! Add a little honey for a smooth cup of delicious brew. Enjoy it in the morning, enjoy it at night. It increases your circulation, but has no caffeine.
Ginger root, Cardamon seed, Fennel seed, Cinnamon bark, Black Peppercorns, Clove buds are all classic digestive herbs. They are extremely effective and have been a part of herbal medicine for centuries. They are specifics for dyspepsia, gas, cramps, colic, bloating, indigestion, heartburn, and nausea. They contain essential oils which stimulate ALL aspects of digestion from saliva excretion and digestive juice stimulation to antispasmodic, and even stimulate the villi of the small intestine for better assimilation.
Cardamon seeds, Roasted Dandelion root, Burdock root, Orange peel all stimulate the liver to excrete more bile. While Cardamon has essential oils that cause the hepatic action, the three later herbs all contain bitter hepatic stimulating phytochemicals. Dandelion and Burdock also stimulate the kidneys to excrete more urine, along with the Horsetail herb and Parsley root. Juniper berries and Uva Ursi leaf are also diuretics and urinary tract disinfectants. They make you urinate more and destroy urinary infections. Pau d' Arco inner bark is a well-known South American Immune stimulant. Licorice root is soothing and healing to the lining of the entire digestive tract.

Pour 32 oz. distilled or purified water into stainless steel or enamel pot. Add 2 Tablespoons (1 scoop) of Detox Tea herbs to water and cover pot. Let mixture soak overnight (at least 4 hours). In the morning bring mixture to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Strain herbs while pouring tea into mug. Drink tea hot. Enjoy! Put strained wet herbs back into pot. You may reuse the herbs up to 3 days, adding water and fresh herbs daily.
For an added taste treat, peel one orange and add the separated sections into the boiling tea mixture. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Mmmmm!
"I don't understand why asking people to eat a well-balanced vegetarian diet is considered drastic, while it is medically conservative to cut people open and put them on powerful cholesterol-lowering drugs for the rest of their lives."
-- Dean Ornish, M.D.
A balanced diet and regular physical activity are the building blocks of good health. Poor eating habits and too little physical activity can lead to overweight and related health problems. By eating right and being active, you can enjoy good health and remain active throughout your life. Whether you are trying to maintain good health, or trying to get well from cancer, you should take a look at your eating habits and try to improve them. Unfortunately, most people in the western world, including many so-called vegetarians, get little or no real nutrition. With the abundance of food available to us, this should not be the case.
